They actually listened and the new bikes are physically sitting in the studio right now so we really pulled this off. I am honestly still in shock that our group of 115 people managed to get corporate to move on this after all those years of broken promises. Maybe now …
We are longtime 24 Hour Fitness members and recurring morning spin classes attendees requesting reconsideration of the Petaluma CA replacement budget allocation. New bikes will provide the following benefits:
Decrease multiple injuries, accidents, and poor class experience.
Increase attendance by 25%
Increase instructor participation in teaching an expanded class portfolio
I really thought this might just fizzle out (honestly I almost deleted the draft twice) but the momentum is actually wild right now. People are clearly tired of the squeaky pedals and the rust and it feels like we might actually get someone to listen.

Attendance is going down and down in class because the bikes are so terrible! I’ve hurt myself twice on these bikes and had to take months off from spin because of it. I also use to spin at another gym or replaced their bikes in 2011 and their OLD bikes were better than our current ones here. You can do better 24!

This morning's bike had no monitor, so I tried one from another bike, it didn't work. Andy's bike next to me, went "clunk clunk clunk."

We’ve had these bikes for about 8 years or more and they were hand me downs from the San Ramon Location. It’s time for new bikes with the function of Power/wattage. These make us look like an old gym with old equipment and why would people keep coming? People are also getting hurt.

I would love to get new bikes since I’m one of the members who’s been injured when a bike pedal fell off during my ride.

Aging equipment creates a negative perception about the quality of the workout, instructors, and gym experience. An easy fix to increase engagement and member loyalty.

Many of the bikes are so old and rusted that you can’t move or adjust the handlebars... some are missing straps or the ones on the pedals are old and frayed. Really disrespectful to not put money into replacing these.

New bikes would make spinning class and personal workouts so much more effective. Thank you and please!
