Netflix confirmed the reboot is officially greenlit and the cast is coming back together. This has been a long and exhausting process but seeing our vision become reality makes every bit of the struggle worth it. Keep your eyes on the production news because we still need to make sure …

It's a different world than it was in 2005 when we last saw Brian, Mikey, Ben, Emmet, Ted, Justin, and the rest of the Queer As Folk family. Gay marriage is the law of the land, yet homophobia still exists both publicly with figures like Kim Davis, the County Clerk who refused to issue marriage licenses despite an order from the Supreme Court, and less openly, but perhaps more painfully, with our co-workers, "friends", and families. Suddenly a spreading tide of state legislatures are enacting anti-lgtbq laws, stripping us of the rights we have fought so harrd for. Newer issues such as bisexual invisibility, increasing transgender presence in the media and need for education and understanding, Grindr versus clubs. Etc etc etc. Mikey's baby girl would be hitting puberty now, and Gus would be around the age Justin was when he and Brian hooked up for the first time. I for one want to see how all our favorite characters have grown over the last 10 years, how life has changed them, what ideals they have held onto, and what and who they let go of. God knows I want to see Brian and Justin together in whatever arrangement they have negotiated, but together. Brian is the heart of the show and deserves his happy ending. To all the original actors: Gale Harold, Randy Harrison, Hal Sparks, Peter Paige, Scott Lowell, Robert Gant, Sharon Gless, Michelle Clunie, Thea Gill, and the rest of the QAF family, please come back, this would not be the same without you. Thanks for your time. Please SHARE SHARE SHARE! Let's get this done.

SHOWTIME AND NETFLIX YOU HAVE THE POWER AND CAPITAL TO BRING BACK QUEER AS FOLK! NOW IS THE TIME! YOU HAVE THE AUDIENCE. MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!

Reaching one thousand names is exhausting and beautiful all at once. I feel the weight of this struggle every day but seeing this number keeps me going.

The Queer as Folk USA has been of the shows that has inspired me to come out and be brave. It has taught me a lot when the environment around me offered little to no education about what it's like being a homo. I'm sure that a reboot would inspire many others.

This is one of my favorite shows ever. I watched it for the first time many years ago and I recently rewatched it and guess what.. it's still amazing. I would LOVE to see what happened to the characters and where they are 15 years later. Please bring it back!

As long as it isn't the Brian and Michael show! And that Brian doesn't magically marry Justin! Brian should stick to his principles, there is an anything wrong with being single… Even straight people don't all get married… And yet live happily ever after!

The reboot has a lot of potential to show us generational gaps, current unresolved issues that LGBTQ community is facing, and an older cast which says a lot by itself given that LGBTQ-oriented shows tend to center on super young characters. Bring the show back :)
