Dear Dr. Olga Livanis,
We, the parents of NEST + m, do hereby petition you, the principal, to address the need for our school to facilitate partnerships with outside arts organizations and community groups when supported by the teachers in order to make accessible to all of our children the highest quality arts education, which they are due.
The words of our chancellor, Joel Klein
The massive surge in support proves that parents are finished waiting for Dr. Livanis to acknowledge our children deserve a real arts program. We have undeniable momentum now and the administration can no longer ignore this demand.

My kid needs more than just test prep. The arts are vital for a well rounded education. Please let the teachers pursue these partnerships.

Why make this so hard for the teachers? Let them bring in outside experts if they want to. The current policy makes no sense.

Arts are being cut way too much. It is time we prioritize creative growth for these kids.

My son loves art class but it feels like it is fading away. We need better opportunities for them.

SO IMPORTANT. Kids learn better when they are engaged in the arts. Stop blocking the teachers from doing what is best for the students.
