Unlike many movies that have been released in recent years this actually seems like a great concept.
Two of the original characters loved the idea and Cameron the director from the 2nd film loved it too so make it happen.

My heart broke when I heard the chances would be slim of alien five. I have been waiting far too long for a true alien sequel! Make it happen captain!

The killing of Hicks and Newt was an act of atrocity, and the decision of getting Ripley so close of being gang raped is totally incomprehensible.
PLEAE MAKE IT HAPPEN, WE NEEED ALIEN 5.

From the first rumors of this film, I've been excited and hoping the rumor would become reality. Please don't shelve this idea...bring this story to the screen!

For many, the last two films in the Alien franchise (Alien3 and Resurrection) left a bad taste in many fans mouths. This would have undoubtedly injected some life back into that part of the series. What Ripley is doing with his prequel series is undeniably exciting and I greatly appreciate it. But what good will it do to make wonderful prequels to an overall unresolved series? That is EXACTLY why this film needs to happen. The studio is getting a prime opportunity to undo the worst films in the series and give said series some redemption at the same time. The fans are happy and the studio makes a HUGE return. It's a win/win.
I am hugely exited for this movie!
