Ellen Ripley needs just one more story to wrap up her character. Sure Alien 3 ended her story but Alien Resurrection started the story back up but then the last 2 films didn't really satisfy a "Real Closer" for the character.
I would have loved too see Blomkamp's vision of Alien 5 with Ripley being reunited with Hicks and Newt. I would have loved too see Ripley back up on the big screen again and really picking up the big guns! Even if they digitally de-age Sigourney Weaver to make her look younger it can work!
Even if they don't make this movie at least we have all 4 Alien films with Sigourney Weaver. But I would have loved too see how they were going to finish Ripley's story the proper way, instead of the ending we got for her character in the last 2 Alien films!

Alien is nothing without Sigourney Weaver as Ripley. Noomi Rapace and Katherine Waterston did ok, but they are no Sigourney Weaver.

I'd rather see Sigourney run around fighting the Xenomorphs and finishing her story, than Fox/Disney continuing with David's story.

Please make this film Fox/Disney, make this film. Enough with the prequels, Sigourney deserves to finish Ripley's arc.

The point is nobody can't take Sigourney's place in the Alien franchise, and it's a shame that Fox so disrespected her and Neill Blomkamp of not moving forward with Blomkamp's Alien sequel.
Sigourney is still very interested in finishing Ripley's story and the fans still want too see this movie come to light, and I hope the studio comes to their senses and get this sequel made as soon as possible!!!

I will always be an Alien fan and of Sigourney Weaver!!! Sigourney started this franchise, and no one will never, ever take her place not Noomi Rapace, or Katherine Waterston. Sigourney started the Alien franchise and she should finish the story!!!
The time is now to make this sequel happen!!!!

Please make this happen. Killing off Newt and Hicks was the worst decision that could have possibly been made in Alien 3. It’s time to make a sequel to Aliens the right way.

Disney locking the Alien franchise away in your Disney vault isn't good for fans. If your not going to continue with the Alien films, then sell the Alien franchise to Blumhouse productions. Jason Blum and his team will sure to fix the Alien franchise, and I am pretty sure after Alien: Covenant's fallout from fans and critics that Blum and his team won't probably continue down the Alien Prequels.
Figures crossed that if Blumhouse does the rights to the Alien franchise if Disney decides too sell the property, let's all hope that Jason Blum and his team will go with Neill Blomkamp's Alien 5 and bring back Sigourney Weaver and that classic Alien story that needs too be finished.

To bypass Neil on this project would be a massive mistake, if anyone can enhance the franchise it is Neil for sure.

Fox and Ridley Scott totally disrespected Neill Blomkamp, Fox should have been more supportive for Blomkamp. I hope that Disney resurrects the crap out of Neill Blomkamp's Alien 5!
