Please make this movie. Though Alien 3 was well done, it was partly beyond David Fincher's complete control and design--this is likely why it ended up depressing people. Alien Resurection isn't worthy of any further recognition or acknowledgement. Thanks.

"Reconsider" as it says in the text on this petition is a wrong word, cause it's not decided to be cancelled. It just depends on the film company.
But I sign this to show a huge interest in the project. Seeing Ripley again I have wanted since I saw Alien: Resurrection at the movie theaters three times when I was 14 in 1998.
As I know the alien films it's made of different auters with their own stylistic take, and I think Blomkamp is a good man to have onboard.
Please let this be :)

The Alien 5 script sounds like it takes the most beloved ideas from the franchise and builds on them. The idea of pairing Sigourney Weaver up with Newt again is what I have wanted to see since seeing "Aliens". As much as I am thankful for Ridley Scott directing the original "Alien", his new vision for the franchise is a bit fantastical and Sigourney Weaver is not going to be available forever. Please listen.

Please at least release the script or turn it into a graphic novel! Would be very interesting to see this concept, ideally into a film before everyone gets too old or disinterested !

Killing off Hicks and Newt major error as was getting rid of Bishop. Alien 3 & 4 need to be forgotten about the same way the Star Wars prequels were.

We really need a alien 5.. i have been waiting a long time for it.. and by todays standards it seems like it would be a masterpiece.. if james cameron loved the script then it should be a no brainer.. after all he is a genius himself and for him to like it means a great deal to us. It needs to hapen.. i will even donate money towards the budget as will most fans here i am sure.

It was a huge mistake killing off both Hicks and Newt offscreen.
I was very excited about the idea of making a sequel from ALiens and retconning Alien3 and Resurrection.
Prometheus was a titanic letdown and doesn't really feel like a proper Alien canon considering the plotholes in it.
So I truly hope Blomkamp start up the project and make a proper Alien movie like the ones I remember from my early youth.

Killing off two great characters offscreen was a mistake! I've always wanted somebody to reboot the series starting after Aliens. Please don't let us down!

This concept of fitting Alien 5 (or whatever new title it may be) between Aliens and Alien 3 makes a lot of sense, I always felt that Alien 3 was in the wrong place in the franchise, this new movie plus one or two more featuring Newts battle with the Aliens would put things right, Please explore this avenue fully, The Alien Franchise really needs it!!!!
