Neighbourhood Networks has been operating in Argyll and Bute providing a vital service to people with learning disabilities since 2002. As a result of the service we are seeing a dramatic growth in the capacity of people to offer support to one another and lead independent lives.
Argyll and Bute Council are planning to close this service which they have stated will provide a 'quick win' in cost savings because they think that people no longer need it. We believe that a number of people would need much more costly services should the Networks be closed.
The Council will be making a final decision on Thursday 11th February. Please show your support to prevent this vital service being withdrawn.

Ridiculous to call this a quick win. You are ruining lives to balance a book. Keep it open.
They have been doing a great job since 2002. Why break something that works perfectly fine? Leave them alone.
Keep the funding. This service is vital for our area.
Please dont do this. People need these networks way more than the council understands.
How can you take away independence from vulnerable people and call it a win. Absolutely heartless.

This is absolutely disgraceful. My brother relies on this group for his only social contact and you want to take that away for a quick buck? Shame on you.
