Neighbors of Traditions- Protect Reservoir View Lane!! Stop Project SD-20-06

Wake Forest cannot continue to build massive projects like this without improving the infrastructure first. You are throwing in so many news houses, with the accompanying traffic, without first making sure the roads, amenities, etc can support that growth. Also, this continued mowing down of trees and green spaces has to stop! Projects like this do nothing to improve the appearance of the area, much less the negative impact on our climate in this area. It should be common knowledge that trees and green spaces are vital for life. Replacing all of it with concrete has a very negative effect on the health of the community. The site of this project pushes all the boundaries of what is acceptable in terms of space required for a development of this nature. That in itself should send red flags flying! Please - don't approve this. (And while you're at it - the project on Royal Mill should not be allowed to become yet another clear-cut, obnoxious development! There is a way to accommodate growth without sacrificing the beauty of the area. We need to start seeing more of that in practice!

I am against the townhomes.

Please find another more reasonable solution.

This proposition is not in the best interest of neighborhood residents and the Traditions community.

This would ruin the privacy of the homes living in this stretch, block all the scenery and views. Add too much traffic.

Please refrain from following through with this plan to build additional townhomes in our neighborhood. Our neighborhood is called Bridgewater Estates NOT Estates & Townhomes! Adding these townhouses not only diminishes our property value, but will also create unwanted traffic issues. As mentioned by other fellow neighbors of this neighborhood, we were informed that, this area of land will NOT be zoned for Residential Living but possibly commercial use only. If you are so Pressed to build something in this area, by all means Build us our own Clubhouse w/ a pool and playground!

Please town of Wake Forest - do the right thing and do not allow these townhomes. I'm a current Traditions resident, and walk my dog every day throughout the neighborhood - viewing some trees (the few left) and greenspace is a huge part of the charm of Traditions, and Wake Forest in General. I understand progress and development (there are a lot of townhomes across the street), but this small strip of trees is way too small and narrow to cram townhomes in. It's a really bad idea, and will 100% negatively affect the quality of life of Traditions, and Wake Forest (especially those Bridgwater residents who would now have townhomes 20' from their backyards!).

We don’t need more traffic and parking issues in our neighborhood not to mention the point of building here is to be close to beautiful reservoir and homes, not townhomes.

As a homeowner that will be directly impacted by this development, I adamantly object to its approval. This “wedge” of land was not disclosed to be zoned for residential, had we known this, we would not have purchased the property. As many other homeowners have mentioned, building townhomes in this location will diminish our property value, view, and overall quality of life. Additionally, the homeowners having no voice in this matter is troublesome, as the HOA has not yet been turned over to the neighborhood thereby not having our best interest in mind.

I’m in creek view and I don’t want to see townhomes there.

This was labeled by Traditions sales people as green space, in addition it is noted as such in the development printed materials. Residential neighborhoods require green space, pocket parks as promised by the developers. This is a very narrow strip of land that will cause housing to tower over Traditions Bld. Let alone impact the housing already in existence. The traffic flow which is already a problem at that exact spot will only increase. Police are having to sit there regularly now to decrease speeding.

We cannot stop progress but the way this is being manipulated by the developer and forced on us is wrong. We purchased our homes with an understanding of the zoning for this property and we are forced to meet these requirements so why should the developer not do the same.

Please stop this project.

Total nonsense and typical how this works. Wait for everyone to get in then build the townhomes. And to make matters worse they are built in an unreasonable spot right on top of the backyards of unsuspecting neighbors.

Keep some open area clear of buildings!

This parcel is zoned NMX (Not Residential MX). Building townhomes here is not in keeping with the zoning. This should be a neighborhood coffee shop that is accessible to neighbors by walking or biking. Please deny the townhomes.

As a Reservoir View Ln resident, please consider this petition. This building plan was not on the plans when we moved onto the street. This space was labeled as future green space. We are concerned for the lack of promised green space as well as the increased traffic that will be on Traditions Grande, in addition to the already increased traffic from Envision School. Thank you for considering.

I agree with the comments and points raised in this petition.

I truly believe that it is in the best interest of the entire Traditions community that this proposed Townhome development does not come to fruition. Traffic and parking is already out of control and the safety of the students that walk to Envision is at even more risk. The Clubhouse and pool are already too small for the current capacity. The play areas are a joke!. Do not take away our green space/areas. The charm of our beloved neighborhood will be completely lost.
