An interchange at Granny White would not only cause further traffic back-ups on 440 (defeating its primary purpose) but it would also damage the 12th South neighborhood in numerous ways. We moved to the neighborhood in 2012 because of the community/authentic feel. An in flux of traffic would kill the value (aesthetic, friendly, desirability and financial) of the Granny White/12th South neighborhood.

The Granny White interchange was deemed a bad idea in the 70's--it's even more so now.

We need to pursue other options for managing the city's traffic problems before we do something so permanently damaging to such a nice area of town.

Do not put my child's life at risk by making Granny White a street you cannot cross (which is already almost is) He loves the park! we spend hours there a week. An interchange would make that nearly impossible if the park even survived such a monstrosity.

If the problem at hand is traffic congestion in Green Hills, making it easier for more cars to enter that neighborhood more rapidly via a new I-440 interchange is an illogical solution.

i live in the 12 south/belmont area and an interchange would seriosly dsiminish the neighborhood as a pedestrian-friendly one. traffic has already impacted the neighborhood in a negative way. why doesn't the planning commission try some other traffic-calming methods in Green Hills first?

Terrible idea. Congestion is already a disaster near the 12 South shops and this will do nothing to improve it. Additionally, it will endanger the pedestrian-friendly atmosphere.

As an Architect with experience in site planning and traffic, my opinion is that an interchange at Granny White is unecessary for traffic control and would totally destroy the neighborhood.
