Objection to Pleasant Valley Preserve Development

Should not be allowed to proceed until the southeast leg of the bypass is completed. At that point traffic on secondary roads would not be as much an issue

If this development is not reduced to 250 homes, it will destroy the peaceful, quiet living of the areas around it from the traffic.

We don’t need to add this traffic to chulio. It’s already SOOO dangerous!

Nothing like high density housing on roads not built for it. Who’s greasing the cities hands? Fulfills the left wing dream. Shame on the city.

I opposes this project. A project like this os not for rural settings. More appropriate for in town or cities with desire for smaller lots, large houses with minimal yard space.

Both the City and County Commissions In the planning departments Should respect thing numerous legitimate Concerns of these residents- Rather than allowing an out-of-town developer with no concerns for the long-term ramifications of such a huge development to proceed.

I oppose this subdivision for so many reasons. Just ride by North Point retirement subdivision to see what out of town developers do to a lovely, peaceful, wooded area…all to build as many houses as possible regardless of the devastating effect on an existing community. Hampton East and Hampton Preserve will suffer, and Chulio Rd doesn’t need the traffic of 1000 more families. What about the effect on already crowded schools??? Please vote against this craziness.

We don’t need that kind of neighborhood here. This is a small town not an Atlanta suburb. This development would destroy the slow, quiet, peaceful neighborhood that people have fostered for decades. The roads are already too crowded as it is.

Fix the infrastructure around the area. I absolutely hate driving to Cumming GA to visit relatives because of high density and populated areas with single lane roads. McMansions popping up behind established houses which leaves no privacy. Not to mention bulldozing trees and plants that developers never plant back close to the volume the bulldoze.

I agree with the tenets stated herein. As one who uses Rockmart Highway and Dean Avenue on a daily basis, the traffic is already a problem. And too many people blow through red lights in that area already. With the increase in traffic in that area, it will only get worse.

This will negatively impact Rome, especially the area we live in!

We can not accommodate this additional amount of people, traffic, and we do not want it in our neighborhood

We live on preacher smith right above Pleasant Valley Rd and traffics is HORRIBLE. This section is like the Silver Creek Auto Bond. People drive so fast it is like playing Russian roulette just to back out of our drive. We have to lower the windows of the car when backing out to make sure you do not hear a car because you can’t see them and now you want to bring MORE TRAFFIC OUT HERE. The way the roads are now is not SAFE and this will only make it less safe. This is a REALLY BAD IDEA!!!

I live in the Woodfin neighborhood. Pulling out onto Chulio Road is already a nightmare due to the high rates of speed by most vehicles! We do NOT need a development of this size. Please do not approve this proposal.

Do not build!!!

Infrastructure needs to be in place prior to approving such growth. Roads, utilities, school system, etc.
