It's also annoying when one train stops and another one goes by very slowly and then the other train finally starts moving again. It's time for all this to stop!!

It also has caused school buses to be frequently late.

the stopped train is bothersome, not so much for my husband and i as the loud obnoxious BANGING noise the train wheels make when jumping the OVERSIZED GAP BETWEEN THE RAIL SECTIONS! its on the second set of tracks (coming from mill rd) and we live down at the corner of wildcat and nittany. i know we cant be the only ones this bothers. it happens all hours of the day and night and sometimes continues for 20+ minutes at a time even when we are trying to sleep. it makes a LOUD KUH KUH, KUH KUH, KUH KUH , KUH KUH. i researched online and the gap between rail sections is supposed to be anywhere from 1/8" - 1/4", but this sounds like the gap is at least 3/4" that the wheels are jumping! it's VERY LOUD and shakes the house more than the actual train going by itself. we havent been here a year yet and it is already affecting our relationship and detrimental to our sleeping patterns. our neighbors have 3 or 4 kids and i dont know how they get a full night's sleep for school on any given night. its terrible and we wish we never bought this house. i was told it didnt make that sound before they did all the railwork back in may, so they screwed something up somewhere and refuse to fix it. i hope we can resolve both of these issues, because we are considering moving, again.

I'm sick of trains blocking these tracks. They have sat there as long as 6 hours before.

It sees the law is enforceable by the local police and the City Engineer probably. Maybe check with Karen or Jennifer in the City Engineer's office.

It is a safety hazard!

If someone were to have a heart attack or a stroke the time it takes to go around could be the difference between life and death.

In the 19th and 20th centuries a railroad company could make or break a town by either providing or denying rail service. Thus, the railroad company wrote their own rules. Well, those days are long gone. Get with the program CSX.
