It would be preferable for the needles to be used on site then disposed in a biohazard container right there.

In my line of work as a garbage man as well it’s getting dangerous to go pick up any garbage that has fallen out of the bin as you don’t know what may be in or around the bags. And yes we do use think construction type gloves. I have also come across mass amount of needles sitting behind some of my bins.

As someone who lives near the safe consumption site and has experienced an increase in needles condoms crime and overall undesirable foot traffic in my yard alley and neighborhood, I feel City needs to look for a solution and work with the law-abiding tax paying citizens to come up with a safe solution..ignoring this won't fix it and Arches is a bandaid on a bullet hole.

This is a very scary and concerning issue. Something needs to be done, Lethbridge is to small to have needles laying around.

This is a good idea. Why worry about just the addicts contacting HIV from a shared needle but not worry about the ones who are 100% inocent. The addicts know better and stop treating them like they don't.

The children are our future and should be priority. Also there should be drug awareness programs and scared straight brought into the schools. Teaching and being proactive with our children is a must!

As a custodian for a city school district, I have seen a major increase in the amount of needles being found on our playgrounds. Its scary to think what could happen.

City council and the mayor aren't putting an end to this idiocy for 2 reasons:
1) It's impossible for a politician to admit they were wrong,
2)The problem isn't occurring in their upscale and posh neighborhoods.

it is truly disgusting that society has their priorities so fu ked up that they give free needles to junkies who endanger our youth and our communities rather than put the money into keeping them safe and clean. And if anyone thinks handing out free drug paraphernalia to these people is beneficial to anyone at all must be high on glue. This has been a ridiculous idea from the beginning...

Diabetics have to pay for their medicine and administering supplies, eppie pens cost money and they save lives tax dollars are not spent on those kind of things. Why should it be different for addicts?
