I have written to city council... only ONE alderman responded...but advised me that there was little he could do. I was dismayed at how my concern was "passed" on. This is not only about the needles... it is also about the "petty" crime which has increased a LOT since the opening... the car break-ins, the back yard and garage thefts.... Something has to be done!

This needs to end I shouldn't have to search a park before my neices and nephews play for needles that a junkie got for free

As. New father and a law abiding citizen who.lives near the SCS, I would really like to see the City come together and work on a solution for all the needles being irresponsibly littered. I have had condoms and used dirty needles show up in my neighborhood and propertyin the last 3 months and this has never happened in the 5 years I have lived here. My family and children deserve to live in a community where they can play in their yard, walk down the street and go to parks without fear of being poked by needles. I believe we can collectively come up with a solution to reduce the number of needles being left around.

It's so simple. Why couldn't the city come up with the needle exchange idea, themselves?

I think we should be putting $ into kids future and that is more important than drugged up people who don’t seem to care.
