As a health professional whom supports healthy safe practices, I condem the program Arches is running! They are not running a true exchange program, but instead running a hand out program! When providing safe practices to one sector of society you must maintain safety to all others, and this is being ignorantly over looked! There must be a stop to this, and perhaps some research put into how to make it successful for all of our community! The failure of this program is going to bring out the worst in the best of our community members, and the only ones at fault will be those whom put into place an unacceptable failing solution to a drug epidemic!

My husband whilst cleaning our verge on 6th Ave S had a needle go through his finger. Not acceptable

My boys were playing lacrosse in the field beside Nicholas Sheran spray park tonight. They stumbled upon a needle. Luckily an adult disposed of it. Somebody’s barefoot toddler could’ve stumbled upon it, and had a terrible outcome. Disgusting!

I have school aged children in Lethbridge and this concerns me. I would like the “Safe Injection Site” in the City of Lethbridge implement a lot more safety actions in regards to disposing of used needles.

I understand trying to help people however this is unfair to kids going to the park. It’s scary to walk the streets of Lethbridge. Being a diabetic, I pay for my meds yet drug users have a place to shoot up for FREE. Keeping drug users off the street I agree with, what we need is a DETOX center.

Now the drug lords are filling up the needles and then giving them to the druggies, how wonderful, we have found needles behind our garage along with "poop" so nice, Arches came and took the needles but what if someone with small kids or dogs was walking this paved alley. Sorry but most of these people Chose to do drugs, and the ones who say it was due to prescriptions I believe could choose to get help, the others who cares

While mowing my lawn last weekend, yup you guessed it, I found a needle. Never in the 17 years that I have owned my home have I found a needle on my property. This has to stop, and right now!
