YES, please open our sports back up!! It is WAY past time to let the kids play! The benefits of letting kids play sports, even in the midst of this pandemic, FAR OUTWEIGH the risks. You keep saying you look at the "science and data" but that couldn't be further from the truth. It's time for you to look beyond yourself, to other states that have successfully allowed sports to be played.

If the NFL & NBA can play sports then there is no reason why our young athletes can’t. We need to protect our children’s mental health.

Please allow these students to play sports!!! I live and teach High School in Utah, and have proven that sports can be played safely, with great benefit to the student athletes!!! My 3 sons have had full sports seasons, with no coronavirus problems! They have bee practicing 6 days a week, with no masks, since early August, with a full season, State Championships, and best of all - a chance to bond with their friends!!! Sports have provided my boys and their friends with the most normal part of their lives through this whole pandemic, thanks to sports! OPEN UP YOUR SCHOOLS AND OPEN UP UP YOUR SPORTS OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUR STUDENT ATHLETES!!! Student athletes and their families are moving here in droves from Washington, Oregon, and California in particular to have the chance to play sports!!! LET THEM PLAY WHERE THEY LIVE!!! My school district just announced that they will no longer quarantine students for sitting within 6 feet of a positive tested student! They communicated to all teachers, parents, and students that 99% of all students asked to quarantine for sitting within 6 feet have never shown any symptoms and have never tested positive themselves! Starting after Christmas break, no one will be quarantined unless they actually test positive. Most of our students who have tested positive have been asymptomatic and all of our students who have been contract traced quarantined have been perfectly healthy during their whole quarantine! 5 months of team practices, 6 days a week, no masks, full season, and not one kid caught the coronavirus! I plead with the State of Washington to open their schools and definitely OPEN YOUR SPORTS PROGRAMS!!! Just look at the states who have allowed for High School sports!!! Your kids need sports more than any of us will ever know!!! LET THE KIDS PLAY!!!

You are doing more damage than good. Let people have free choice and if people are so afraid of dying that they don’t live anymore-THEY can stay home and live in a bubble.

Sports, just like in classroom learning is important for kids to participate in. It builds character that leads to discipline, sportsmanship and is good for overall health and mental fitness. I wholeheartedly support children participating team sports and support ending ALL shutdowns and restrictions.

The depression has set in. We now have to buck the system, travel to another state and play our local teams 400 miles from home.

It’s been successfully done in many other states already. It’s time for our athletes to safely get out and compete again too!

Follow actual SCIENCE, which shows the shutdown has had no useful effect. Restore normalcy so the infrastructure can perform at it's optimal best to mitigate the true risks in their rare and isolated circumstances.

Sports gives many kids a reason to be in school when they don't want to be there to begin with. Let them play!
