NE Raleigh, NC Citizens Oppose Rezoning Z-45-2020

I am opposed to this project. With the other projects building east on Buffaloe Road the traffic will be intolerable.

I am opposed to having an apartment complex at the corner of Buffalo and New Hope. This intersection is already one of the most dangerous in Raleigh. It would be even worse if we added another 350-700 more cars to it. Please vote no!

I strongly oppose the rezoning of New Hope and Buffalo Roads for the purpose of building a 350 unit urban apartment complex.

I am in opposition to the re-zoning efforts.

I oppose Z-45-2020. Rezoning and adding to the congestion in this area is not only dangerous but thoughtless.

We know this area. We know the flow of traffic. This will not be good for this area. Please listen.

I am in strong opposition to an apt building on this corner for several of the reasons already cited. What about a lovely set of townhouses for purchase? A nicely designed boutique structure maybe with limited eateries? Please be considerate of the several existing neighborhoods nearby.

I strongly oppose the rezoning for this 4 story complex. There is a significant amount of traffic on New Hope Rd. and from Southall it is already can take a considerable amount of time just to get out of our without additional traffic, let alone adding he the traffic of 350 additional homes and Families with multiple more cars traveling back and forth would makes this area a disaster. There is not sufficient space for this number of additional homes to be added without negatively affecting the surrounding property value and our comfort of life. A large apartment complex would ruin this area and cause many of us to move out as our property values would erode. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS LAND FOR MULTI FAMILY HOMES. PLEASE CONSIDER THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE ALREADY INVESTED IN THEIR HOMES IN THIS SURROUNDING AREA.

We dont need another apt. Complex built in. A single family community.

No apartments, I propose a urgent care and shopping center. Too many apartments complex in this area already have been built.

That area is too congested as is, please re-evaluate the plan.

New hope is congested enough. If something has to be built why not townhomes instead where owners will at least respect their surroundings and maintain value since it's an investment. where a transient(rental population) will not.

Current infrastructure does not support additional 500-600 people living in a small footprint in the middle of our neighborhoods. Not sure what benefit there is to increase population density here other than an increased tax base for the city.

The traffic on Buffaloe Road heading towards 540 is already treacherous! They have already cleared out and set up to build more townhouses on Buffaloe Road closer to the 540. Once those are built and full, a traffic study needs to be done on Buffaloe Road heading towards 540 (especially after it goes back down to 2 lanes). Fix the road infrastructure FIRST!!! Then take a vote on this.

There is too much traffic already in this area. I think it will really turn into a nightmare.

4 story buildings do NOT fit into the surrounding context of the neighborhoods/area.... at all.

Please, please don’t do this to our neighborhood. Traffic is bad as it is; we will be overwhelmed with this gigantic addition.
