I’d love to see an economical housing development there, but I’m very concerned with the scale, style, and traffic increase without a strong mitigation plan.
I’d be much more attracted to a mixed use development to support tall structures.

Too congested as it's. . The people who live next door in Top of The Pines will not have the privacy they do now.

Please abide by the terms of our small area plan and deny this rezone proposal. We worked, in good faith, with the City to come up with the Small Area Plan approved unanimously by City Council. To approve this proposal, that goes against that Plan, would be a slap in the face of the citizens that worked so hard for this plan and show we cannot trust our City Government.

I'm signing this petition because I understand that the community has previously worked with the city to develop a thoughtful Small Area Plan that envisions appropriate development at this location. The proposed rezoning conflicts with the vision that the residents helped shape with the city and apparently the rezoning applicant is not willing to seek reasonable compromise. Let's encourage development that serves the area, not harms it, and that represents true collaboration of all constituencies.

This area is already a traffic hazzard at best. No police patrol the area for speeding, running red lights, and general disregard for traffic laws.
Accidents at this intersection are frequent, and apparent by the daily accumulation of accident debris. This area cannot accommodate the increased volume from Lidl, let alone a new housing development this size.

The council should preserve quiet neighborhoods like ours and encourage developers to rebuild the decaying lots on Capital. This proposal does exactly the opposite.

Our neighborhood does NOT need a 350 apartment complex. Traffic will be a nightmare and the number of car accidents and fatalities will increase. And our property values will DECREASE due to the high density 350 apartment complex.

The last thing we need on this already busy road is more vehicle traffic, more foot traffic and more garbage. New Hope Rd has become Raleigh’s Speedway with all the car racing.
