Terrible traffic/ accidents at intersection alot

I support the petition for all of the reasons listed there. The traffic is bad enough. The last thing we need in this area are apartments.

I strongly oppose the development of an apartment complex in my community.

This intersection is dangerous and busy in itself, we cannot accept apartments on that corner, and especially our houses would lose value.

Stop re zoning that area. It was done once already. Intersection is bad enough. Why don't you put cross walk to the bus stop? I thought it was a regulation to have one if there is a bus stop.

City council members, I oppose the rezoning the corner of Buffalo Rd and New Hope for all the reasons outlined above. In addition, the last re-zoning of this property limited the height of the structure to be a 1 story grocery store building with a pharmacy. As additional developments have cropped up in the area, food access has increasingly become a concern. Adding more residents (~400-500 people with just this development),while simultaneously removing the possibility of additional food resources in the area will create long term issues for the community.

I strongly object to the construction of this complex. The traffic will have adverse consequences on our community.

The intersection of Buffaloes and New Hope Roads is already very congested and adding apartments at this location is a dangerous proposition. There will be many traffic accidents and possible deaths. We live in the area which requires us to travel from Sue Ellen to New Hope in order to exit our neighborhood. Due to the heavy traffic at certain hours it often takes quite a while to exit onto New Hope. In fact the traffic is often backed up requiring us to wait for a kind driver to let us on New Hope.

I live off of St James right by this intersection and adding more traffic will just make the traffic problem here worse. Unless more stop lights and stop signs are put up (which themselves will cause more traffic issues) this will be a catastrophe.

I oppose this for all the previous reasons.

Please don't approve this project. We will never be able to get out of our neighborhood!!!

Do not build residence in that or sudoku song spaces.

I am against the rezoning. There is enough traffic at this intersection without adding more to the situation

The traffic on Buffaloe Rd is too heavy already for that area. Since Lidl was added I foolishly though I could walk to the grocery store from Charleston Park. Sidewalks are missing for half the road and I have come close to being hit twice in crossing the road to get to a sidewalk and now you want to add more cars? Spend some time in the area and look at what’s there instead sitting behind desks and reading reports. You will be impacting the homes and families already established there. Take that responsibility seriously!

I oppose building high density apartments on the corner of Buffaloe and New Hope for safety issues due to traffic volume.

I am totally against this sort of development for that particular corner as it will add to more congestion and will not conform to the current neighborhood homes.

Council Members and Mayor Mary-Ann Baldwin - I respectfully request that you deny the rezoning of the property at New Hope/Buffaloe Rds. Dangerous traffic conditions have been specified that intersection as the 3rd most dangerous in Raleigh. It is also important to keep a suburban appearance by construction of a 5-story apartment complex for 350 residents. Unsupervised play of children will be a hazard to them, as parents are at work. God forbid a child is injured or worse due to short-sighted planning. Again, please deny the rezoning request, as did the Planning Commission. Thank you.

I wiil only support of development plans that will co-exist with the existing harmony of our neighborhoods.
