Why close a successful business ?
Starbucks wants to close La Boulange because it's taking its customers away

La boulange is the only place I can get real coffee, good pastries and delicious brunch. As a French, I can say it's hard to find this anywhere else in SF. Please keep la Boulange!

As a French teacher, this bakery chain is one of the few amazing places I can tell my students about. Please don't narrow our children's view of French culture in the Bay Area!!!

It's so popular with the people of the Bay Area - shame to close it down.

Terribly decision. Spin the company out, don't close it down.

The decision to close all La Boulange locations makes no sense from a business or branding perspective. It's one of the only decent bakeries and cafes in the entire Bay Area. Very strong brand that is synonymous with high quality, high end, authentic food and pastries. Keep it separate from Starbucks and keep it going. You're missing a huge opportunity. I'm not even talking about the terrible impact on the extensive French and francophile community in the Bay Area. Where will be get the traditional Galette des Rois and Christmas Buche to only name a few delicious traditional desserts we find at La Boulange? I won't be the only one to stop going to Starbucks if this plan moves forward.

Boulanges are the only places in San Francisco where you can enjoy healthy food in a comfortable and pretty place for an affordable price....
