La boulange is the only place I can get real coffee, good pastries and delicious brunch. As a French, I can say it's hard to find this anywhere else in SF. Please keep la Boulange!
As a French teacher, this bakery chain is one of the few amazing places I can tell my students about. Please don't narrow our children's view of French culture in the Bay Area!!!
Starbucks just bought La Boulange and within a year is decimating it. Was that the strategy all along? Are we to put up with strip-mall view and mentality in this life and all countries and towns looking the same? Regardless of profits, keep this jewel alive, just for PR purposes if you will.
La Boulange is a totally different concept than Starbucks. I go there for lunch with friends and casual meetings for work. Starbucks is not even an option. There is never enough seating for more than two people together and no real food menu. Hope someone will come in and buy La Boulange.
When friends and family come to the bay area, I take them to La Boulange for a French-style treat, which everyone loves! Taking them to Starbucks does not have the same effect. They can go to Starbucks anywhere! Please keep around a few La Boulange Cafés!!
Starbucks, please do not close La Boulange. It is so popular in San Francisco and the Bay Area. Please do not destroy such a San Francisco icon.
Please please reconsider your decision even though you claim that La Boulange doesn't fit in your business strategy. Please consider all of the customers you could be keeping happy, and how that would help the Starbucks brand. By closing all of the La Boulanges, everyone I know is disappointed in Starbucks. La Boulange is a great community spot.

Closing La Boulange will be one more nail in the coffin destroying the neighborhood feel that is so quintessential San Francisco. It has been a Bay Area treasure. Closing the cafes will shed a pall over the reputation of Starbucks in this area. Please, leave them open.
