Existing students should be grandfathered. This appears simply a move to drive more revenue. There was deal made when I joined. Moving the course work which has not changed fron 1 credit hour to 3 was simply to justify the cost incase. I heard peopme are considering approaching the accrediting bodies.

I would also like to see more appropriate resources assigned to dissertation committees. At a minimum, the SME should hold a PhD in the same subject area as the student rather than relying on "topical expertise".

I am in DIS4 and agree with others that we should be grandfathered in. I am self pay and about tapped out and not close to finishing the dissertation process yet.

I'm so tired of this crap! Always something to stifle progress by increasing the cost of finishing the goal.

I'm saddened that after exhausting my husband's G I Bill (active duty, with 4 combat tours, and a Purple Heart) we will be unable to self-pay for the remainder of my dissertation courses. Tuition increases for military dependents show zero support for our sacrifice. I will be contacting military supporting universities to explore my options.

We as students pay enough now for education. After we graduate it had to gain a position so this will delay payback.

I agree wholeheartedly. I feel like every policy change is made to squeeze the maximum amount of money from us. Another issue that I have is that we get no holidays and no breaks. I am exhausted from my program. Why don't we get two weeks off at Christmas and a month off for summer? Like every other University and college. I would be so much more effective if I could take a break.
The seven year clock is also absurd. The mentors can essentially slow you down to a halt but we get punished for that. My first dissertation chair gave a small amount of poor feedback. When I got a new chair I had a ton of changes to make. Am I going to be credited back that 6 months for the first inept chair? Nope it still is counted against me. Tick tock. Tick tock.

We should be locked in as to the agreement we started. The current system changes can happen every month. There is no current contract-they can change requirements and cost. The requirements of the chairs to inform us of information is not reasonable at 3 weeks time frames.

This will stop me and many others from completing our degree; raising the tuition would prove to be an unwise decision, especially in light of all of the recent governmental investigation and subsequent exposure of nefarious financial practices committed by for-profit institutions--

This is not in the best interest of current students! I will not be able to afford tuition increases and what happened to NCU supporting military families? All is golden @NCU with recruitment, not so much with the rest of the experience.

The goal to have students complete their degree within the 4 dissertation courses should be a priority. It is impractical and unethical to extend it further when it is within your scope to ensure effectiveness of the program in order to make this happen.

I am self-paying for my degree and this is just ridiculous to think I am going to pay an arm and leg for lack of diss support due to NCU's limited chair personnel or whatever internal policy that allows chairs to get lengthy feedback times. I hear a lot of horrible stories about the diss process and I am not looking forward to that as I am half way in my program. At least I can switch colleges but I feel bad for the rest who are at the last stages.

I am about to run out of loan money and will eventually have to pay out of pocket. Don't know how many additional classes I would need after the 4th dissertation class, but I can not afford $2500.

I may not be able to complete my dissertation, heading into my 6th dissertation course, as I'm about tapped out on financial aid and can't afford to self-pay the remainder of my doctoral program.

I truly will be looking into legal action for bait and switch impropriety. I will never recommend Northcentral, or any other for-profit that is not student-centered. Selling us the "timely" degree completion lie is simply inappropriate and unacceptable. I also truly regret ever signing up to attend NCU.

I am still taking my courses and haven't entered the COMPS or Dissertation phases. I am deeply concerned and discouraged that this is going on. I should have enrolled in one of the many schools in my city. It would have been much cheaper.

i wish I had thought twice about going to a for profit online school. Bait and switch is what you call this tactic. Pure greed, nothing more than that. Whoever the decision makers are, I hope they choke off the food they are stealing off their students' tables .
