I cannot afford another tuition hike. This is absurd.

NCU has created the perfect storm with continuing tuition rates and illogical response times. I have waved off three professionals who asked me for a recommendation for a doctoral program. They all enrolled at different schools, and each will probably finish their program before I finish mine. I truly regret ever beginning this process at NCU.

Not fair that we cannot finish our degree as you write in the catalog. So wrong. If I would have known about this at the start I would not have gone here!!!!!!

I will most likely be ABD with these tuition hikes. This is a breach of contract. That is when we are contacted by representatives prior to entering NCU's program we are told how much a program will cost. I have checked with NCU's financial aid program many times and they have ensured me I could finish my degree with the amount of financial aid I had left. Now that is doubtful. This is a clear breach of contract.

What is going to stop Chairs and Dissertation Committees from not progressing their students past dissertation 4 just so they can get more money as the school increases its tuition and has so every year since I have been there? I know that students are responsible for their own success but 21 day turnarounds for feedback is ridiculous by the time the address everything according to their chair's feedback it is already the next dissertation class. And maybe that next class is where the tuition increases. I am sure there is federal law that prohibits schools from increasing tuition on a yearly basis.

i agree. The rates are entirely too high for the limited support received from chair during dissertation compilation. If one looses his or her source of income during the dissertation phase, it would result in extending the time of completion due to not being able to afford the time required and the cost.

Upon initiation of the specified course of study, the stated tuition per course should be locked in the contract.

I will no longer be able to afford to continue. Looks like I will be ABD thanks this latest money grab.

I feel I should be grandfathered and this should only apply to new students who have not started the doctoral process.

I'm in DIS5 nearing DIS6 (2 courses past DIS4) why could I not be grandfathered to keep my classes one credit hour?!?
