This pool is used by many, including myself, who suffer with chronic pain. Swimming is a low impact activity that serves to allow a normal life. Also, in the wonderful ADKs boasting so many lakes and ponds, there is a huge community need to teach young people how to swim! I have to point out that the word COMMUNITY is part of this college's name. Please continue to serve this community by offering an exercise that anyone is able to do.

I regularly swim at the NCCC pool during the off season from swimming in the lake. Keeping the pool open is beneficial to the community and other local tri athletes. Along with reasonable hours of use and not hours while we’re workong.

We have nothing better to do in this town but drink. You close that pool seasonal depression gets worse for people where winter is SIX MONTHS LONG. if anything you need to have it open more and advertise better. I've lived here 11 years and even went to NCCC and i only ever got to swim there once because every time i tried to go it was closed.

An important part of youth development. knowing how to swim should be considered mandatory for middle school graduates.

It’s part of the community and is a needed venue and should be utilized more for our seniors...water aerobics is a great start!
Parties for kids!
Swimming lessons!
Lifeguard courses!
Endless possibilities...

Please, our community needs this asset. We’re surrounded by lakes and our children need a place to learn how to swim. Also, senior adults and people with certain disabilities need a good way to exercise. And what about all the Ironpeople? If necessary, run the pool in a more businesslike way, and charge more for non-student use. The pool at the hospital’s new facility in Lake Placid is way too small to fill the needs of our population. Thanks.
