It's a complete blatant SCANDAL outrage !!!!! .If I get a deal on a vehicle...That's my good fortune ! . Not to have the government say oh no non no .... And have us pay more taxes .This country is taxed out tax tax tax .... Enough already . Some of us are barely getting by.....It's illegal. If I didn't pay $3000 on a car I shouldn't be taxed on $ 3000 . It's had dam sickening !!!!!

Not only should a vehicle not be taxed more than once, but to charge such an absurd price for vehicles in bad condition is theft.

This is insane back enough a vehicle gets tax many times over but to tax us well over what a vehicle is worth is straight up robbery .

We shouldnt have to pay taxes on a car that has already has taxes paid on it. We are the only province that does this. We are also the poorist province in canada. Doesnt make sense

My brother bought a wrecked car ( needed transmission, brakes, glass had 430,000kms) for $500 and SNB valued the car at $6200 and forced him to pay the taxes on their assessment. $930 in taxes for a $500 car that only lasted a few months.

Just another way to steal our money.

I once paid $420 to transfer and register a van that I had bought for $400. This is consumer gouging and just plain ridiculous.

This is simply unfair.

You should only pay tax on what you paid for the vehicle when you purchase it in the province..

Taxes should be on new vehicle only.

With registration fees that may be potentially over the 51% interest rate set by the Federal Government as being illegal. See Money Mart Class Action Lawsuit for the same reason. Overcharging !

A ridiculous practice stemmed from the "savoir faire" of our ridiculous governmental bean counters...
