NB Taxpayers demand to be taxed on vehicle purchase price, not government speculation

Re-taxing a used vehicle is wrong on it's own, seeing as it was taxed on full value at original dealer purchase. Now, taxing a junk parts car at MINIMUM $1000, and blue book value tax on a vehicle that needs an engine, transmission, extensive body work, etc, is ridiculous.

Rip off government making us pay top price for cars that will only last use Year or less.. Its almost like getting robved at gun point

We pay to mush tax on junk now how are we supposed to get a head

bought a car which was higher mileage, needed a camshaft and transmission rebuild (no 5th gear) and somehow paid as much in taxes as i did for the car.

I baught a atv for 800$ because the engine was blown and they wanted 600$ of tax

I agree, tax for actual amount paid or not at all on used, once should be enough.

Heh. I paid over 700.00 to change over a 1000.00 car. Wasn't a bad pop can so to say. The lady I bought it from said that's all the dealership would give her. Also where does all the money go!!!!

I lived in other provinces and there is no tax on used vehicles.

I paid $1000 tax on a $2000 Ford Fusion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This sucks!!!!!!
