Paying taxes on a used vehicle is robbery. Most of us pay 40 percent of our wages to some sort of tax. Stop giving Canadas money away to foreign countries and fix eastern canada first.

There's no need of this you buy a second hand vehicle for a 1000 dollars and it cost you the same if not more to put it in your name all that is going to do is make it so people won't change them over and won't have insurance and it will just keep on snowballing from there on this is just another one of those things for the rich to get richer

Next thing you know well be taxed at full retail on everything we buy even if it's been discounted 2000 dollar TV sold on black Friday for a 1000 taxed at 2000

Embezzlement is what it's called. If we did it, we would be put in jail. N.B. legally stealing from us. Sold a 1980 Pontiac for $4,000 and they charged taxes on $14,000. That's $4,000 more than the car was new. How can this be? Is someone watching Barrett Jackson in la la land making these decisions? Car Clubs stand up and Protest this crap!!!

Completely support this!!! Makes it impossible for people to buy a used cheap car... costs and arm and a leg just to get it registered in your name.

Just went through this nightmare, living paycheck to pay check because I choose to tough it out here in NB and could only afford an older vehicle. Got charged the tax on $6000 for a 10 year old car with over 200km that I only paid $2200 for! No wonder no one can afford to make a life here at home!
