Yes i agree there is no reason we should have to pay this tax it is ridiculous, ,,, i don't know of any other province that has to I'm visiting Alberta right now and they don't have to so why should our poor Province have to ,,, we are being taxed to death on everything and its not right

It's bad enough being taxed on something that has already paid tax on but to gouge us further?? Sick of this government.

Just a money grab. A vehicle is taxed enough. Every time it is sold. Greed is what I call it.

So if someone sell a car 3-4 times than u might is well say that the government made more money from that sale than anyone else that previously owned

Before this law came into effect, I bought a 2008 Pontiac Torrent for $1,200. If I would have had to pay the tax, I would have paid on at least $7,000. However, it would have been unfair as I had to have a new engine installed, replaced the front fenders that were smashed, and other repairs such as new brakes, rotors, tires, and so on. I paid the taxes on all of the other repairs necessary to get the vehicle running again. There are way too many tax grabs in this province, and this one just goes too far. We're at the breaking point.
