If you buy a new vehicle you payed the tax already. We should not be paying anymore tax on that vehicle, regardless if it's sold again and again and again once is good enough. But not in NB! In the NWT we don't pay taxes over and over again on a second, third, or fourth owner! The first owner payed the tax when he/she bough it!

Having to pay the books amount on the vehicle you purchased isn't right. If you buy a vehicle for 2 thousand you may have to pay tax on 5 thousand if the book says its valued at that. It isn't right.

It's retarded should go by what we pay for the cars not what they think it should be priced at... I paid 400 for a sunfire they price it at 1800!

I'm all for this as I have been forced to pay more in taxes than I payed for the entire vehicle including inspection and liscencing of said vehicle

It's foolish to tax something that's already been taxed multiple times... if it's not sold by a dealer they should have NO right to tax a vehicle. I bet some vehicles get "taxed" 4 to 5 times before they meet their end due to the pathetic road conditions and pot holes. Get a life NB!

I was just recently gouged for 752$ for tax for a vehicle I purchased. Paid 1100$ red book 4300$
Some rust. High mileage, interior stained etc.
Not worth red book value.
