Recently paid close to 30% tax on a used vehicle. Paid $5000 for the vehicle but had a red book value of over $9000. We are being taken advantage of!!

The Government gets this outrageous tax increase every time the vehicle sells! Disgusting!

Tax on vehicles should only be paid once. A changeover fee is all that's needed when purchasing a used vehicle.

I also paid 62.5 % tax on a car I purchased last year. There must be a system whereby one could be treated more fairly. I wonder why dealers and auctions are not subject to these same rules.

Why do they have the right to tax the same item more than once anyway. It should only be taxed when purchased.

It is an unfair practice. Should be taxed on appraised value by professional or by amount of sale....like it has always been before.

Another rip off , I don't mind paying what is fair, but this definitely isn't.
