The government gets way to much of our money now.its absolutely ridiculous that we get taxed so much over and over for used motorized vehicles.

I agree that a mechanics appraisal should be a valid option.

taxed on the new car, taxed on the sale of the new car, taxed again when sold a 3rd time.... why tax on something higher than it's sold for?

We shouldn't be paying any tax on used goods. Let alone having gov steal money from us repetitively

Vehicle's should only be able to be taxed once as it is not as many times as it is sold. This is another case of the NB government taxing its citizens to death, disgusting!!

When the car was bought new taxes were paid on it why should we have to pay taxes every time don't make no sense in Alberta if you buy a used car you don't pay taxes

I agree its pathetic .. You buy 500 dollar vechical spend 2500 dollars more to get it going then pay tax on 2500 for the parts and labor and still pay taxes on a 3000 dollar car unreal

I had the same experience, bought a car for $2000 that needed a bit of work and had to pay tax on $4100. I sent in the form for reimbursement and was denied because I needed to attach receipts for work and parts. Most of the work I did myself and the parts didn't amount to a lot of money. There shouldn't be any tax on a used vehicle as the tax was paid when the car was new. This is double or even triple taxation in some instances

We need t stand together on so many issues... We are one of the few provinces that have get. Yearly inspection done, have to pay for TWO license plates, two hospital and school systems... Double taxes on our second property...the list goes on and on....
