I’m 19 and excited for this playground, so I couldn’t imagine how the younger ones feel. Let it happen

This is a much needed upgrade to a popular family location central to our onkaparinga suburbs.

It's about time that we dedicated funds to allow the children down south to have a proper playground

Maybe a dog park as well.

The state of our local playgrounds for our children in this area are a disgrace to the Onkaparinga Council!

Let’s make this a real family hub in the south!

Having been the first to take the idea of a nature playground at Wilfred Taylor Reserve public, I can assure Councillor Deakin that there IS support. I received support from around 500 local families who petitioned for this playground, received hundreds of likes on my Facebook posts and huge support for the idea on a thousand doorsteps or more . In addition, all the sporting clubs I spoke with at the Reserve support the move - especially with the Liberal government precondition of improved parking for the playground. Lets be clear, the problem is not the Liberal government. There is no argument we took the lead in getting community support for the playground and committed $1.3 million to the playground. I'm signing this to show certain councillors that they should do their research first. If this petition is reworded to be council focused only, then I will definitely join forces with Nat Cook in a united voice to express community concern at Councillor Deakin's motion.

Nat Cook MP fought so hard to get this funding and Neighbourhood meetings showed the need for this project. Wilfred Taylor is a fantastic location for kids parents and grandparents to enjoy

Give Local families access to better playgrounds so we don't have to drive outside our LGA to find good facilities. Help beat obesity by giving kids some help.
