At the moment, Linux users who love music and want to listen to it with Spotify have to run the Windows version of Spotify through Wine. Although the trick has allowed us to try Spotify, it does not enable us to enjoy the full Spotify experience. Indeed, Spotify under Wine has proved to be unstable and unsatisfactory. Therefore, we, the undersigned, ask that Spotify develop a native application for mainstream Linux distributions : Ubuntu, Mandriva, Fedora (.deb and .rpm packages). Everyone loves music, including Linux users.

De una manera general, este truco no permite aprovechar enteramente de Spotify, porque la aplicación Spotify bajo Wine se muestra inestable e insuficiente. Por esto, nosotros, abajos firmantes, le pedimos a Spotify de desarrollar una aplicación nativa de Spotify, que pueda ser instalada sobre las principales distribuciones de Linux : Ubuntu, Mandriva, Fedora (paquetes .deb y .rpm). Todo el mundo ama la música, incluso los usadores de Linux.

wine is not a solution for a serious music app. i pay for premium but have to use a web wrapper that barely works. fix this spotify.

fedora user here. running things through wine is a total mess and it crashes constantly. just give us a simple repo so we can actually listen to our playlists without the headache.
