CELEBRATE GIRLFRIENDS this DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS MONTH on

OCTOBER 30, 2010 - NATIONAL GIRLFRIENDS DAY

This petition is being created to encourage Hallmark to proclaim October 30 as National Girlfriends Day effective this October 30, 2010. The Bond that Girlfriends share with their friends is a unique and special bond worthy of a National and International celebration. This effort is being spearheaded by Girlfriends Lifestyle Experts Herman and Rochelle Davis. This sister and brother team specialize in the unique bond shared only by Girlfriends. Rochelle is the founder of Girlfriends, a unique venue where women can celebrate and fellowship with their Girlfriends and Herman is the Chief Operations Officer. Rochelle is also the founder of Peace and Love, a 501(c)3 social-cause marketing organization committed to the positive promotion of World Peace and non-violence created in memory and honor of her sister and other women who have fallen victim to domestic violence. October 30 is the day our sister was murdered. "During her murder trial our family was amazed to learn of the abuse that she suffered at the hands of her estranged husband, abuse that only her closest Girlfriend was aware of-because of that and our commitment to saving other lives we have come to realize that many victims of domestic violence lives have been saved because they sought the confidence and support of their Girlfriend's unconditional love and support. October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and it is our goal to create greater awareness in an effort to save lives while celebrating the lives of women who have survived and those who have lost their lives to domestic violence.
