Hello Everyone,
Though many religions throughout the world teach the importance of forgiveness, wouldn’t EVERYONE, regardless of religion, culture, or nationality, benefit a great deal in taking part in International Forgiveness Day
Lalit Mawkin gave me this wonderful idea when he mentioned that Jainism has celebrated Kshamavaani Divas (The Day of Forgiveness) for over 2,500 years without ever missing a year. On this day, you ask your spouse, children, parents, bosses, colleagues, subordinates, neighbors, etc., for forgiveness and offer forgiveness in return. Lalit said, “We all keep living this mad race and it is true that we get hurt and also hurt others by our remarks, tantrums etc. We have Father's Day and Mother's Day, so let there be a day to forgive!"
Imagine the positive and healing impact each of us would achieve in knowing we could have a clean slate with those we cherish most! We are so passionate about creating this day because it will generate a worldwide conversation about forgiveness, allowing more people to understand how healing this can be.
So my loving friends, if you would like to help make International Forgiveness Day a reality, please sign and forward this petition to all your friends, contacts, and groups, and ask them to do the same. The ripple effect will be absolutely tremendous! I have no doubt that TOGETHER we can make Forgiveness Day, a day that will benefit all of us, for many generations to come.
Peace, Love and Gratitude~

I was just looking at the count and we are almost at two hundred and fifty signatures which honestly blows my mind because it started as just a small thought about Jainism and now it feels like a real movement. Can you all take a second right now to send this to a few folks you know because I really want to hit that mark before the day is out and keep this momentum going for the sake of everyone needing a clean slate.

What a beautiful thought. imagine how much lighter we would all feel if we just wiped the slate clean once a year.
