Please consider our petition to implement National Science Day as adesignated day of recognition in the United States.The aim of such a day would be to engage and inspire people of all ages with science and technology.
While several countries, including China, Britain, Australia, Canada, and Norway have national science weeks, online research shows that India seems to be the only country with a National Science Day.
A USNational ScienceDay would provide an opportunityfor all Americans to participate in focused events and activities that showcase science and would encourage young people to consider continuing studies in science.

This would be so awesome for the kids. science is fun not just a boring textbook subject.
About time. america used to lead the world in discovery. lets get back to it.
Science is the only way we are gonna fix climate change. we should have been doing this years ago.
GET IT DONE. no reason not to celebrate innovation.
Finally!! My daughter loves experiments and nasa stuff. would be so cool to have a day for that at school.

I work in a lab and we definitely need more support for the younger generation. keep pushing for this.
