We, the undersigned, urge Truckee Meadows Parks to allow us to place Narcan boxes in our local parks to combat opioid overdoses and support harm reduction efforts. By making this life-saving medication readily available, we can protect our community, save lives, and provide immediate assistance during critical moments. I was checking the status of this on my phone in the grocery store line and just stared at the screen for a minute because this momentum is actually happening. It feels like the city has to pay attention now (finally) and I am just honestly floored by how many people care about safety in our parks as much as I do.

They've saved my brother's life more than once. He's now in a program and doing so well. I'm so grateful for the Narcan being accessible!
This is an amazing project and it’s helping so many people. Love these programs
This needs to happen as for me plenty of times walking by and multiple times ppl running up to me to call 911 because someone has overdosed.
I believe that it would help save lives. There are way too many people dying because of fentanyl
My daughter was a vitum of fentanyl, and thank God there was narcan around, but there are situations that there isn't Abby narcan in the area or available!
My brother in law passed from fentanyl. We need more Narcan boxes.

Seen too many ambulances at the park lately. No reason not to have these boxes available if it keeps someone breathing until help gets there.
