I just got the final email confirming the township is breaking ground on the new fields and I am honestly still in shock that this actually happened. It feels like just yesterday we were staring at that empty dusty lot wondering if anyone would ever listen to us but you …
We, the undersigned, are requesting Wheatland Township convert its vacant land at the corner of 103rd Street & Tower Road into a Baseball Field/Sports-use Park. This property is located in Naperville, between Rt. 59 and Book Road on 103rd Street.
I was driving past that empty lot near 103rd and Tower earlier and it just looks so lonely sitting there when it could be full of kids playing ball instead of just weeds. I have been putting together a folder of documents to show the township board that this is actually what people want for our neighborhood and honestly the sheer amount of paperwork is making my head spin a little bit but I am determined to get a meeting on the books.

I was just looking at the site map for that corner on 103rd and Tower and realized we are almost at a hundred people who want a real park there instead of just weeds. If you could just send the link to a few neighbors who actually play catch or walk their dogs nearby we might finally get the township to pay attention to our local field situation.

Living right down the street and there is literally nowhere for the kids to go play ball. Just an empty lot sitting there collecting weeds.

Great idea. We really need more sports space in Wheatland. Hope this happens soon!

Our kids need a place to be active instead of just sitting inside on video games all summer. This area needs more fields badly.

YES PLEASE. My son has to travel way too far for practice. This would change everything for the neighborhood families.

Finally someone said it. That land has been wasted for years. Turn it into something useful for once.
