Too many outstanding issues and audits not resolved that form part of the amnesty. Can’t proceed woth newer periods while audits are in progress.

The Tax Amnesty program is ending 31 October 2024. NamRA has time to send daily reminders, emails and social media campaign posts about the deadline, but the main source of delays are not addressed.

The records of taxpayers were not loaded by the Receiver of Revenue when it was submitted years ago. Now we've updated most but still penalties are charged although original return was submitted in a timely fashion. What happens when new clients approach us to assist after 31/10/2024? They cannot be held liable because some people did not do their part way back

Extending the Tax Amnesty Program could enhance taxpayer compliance and increase government revenue. It would offer individuals and businesses additional time to settle their tax obligations without penalties, supporting economic recovery and fostering a culture of responsibility.
