Mrs. Morrison has enriched my high school experience by more than I can say with her strong passion and will to bring the joy of music and sense of community to my life and countless others at JVHS. She brakes down borders of race, gender, religion, sexuality, and class between students (as well as the community) and is truly a shining example as a human being to the people of Jurupa Valley. She not only does this, but at the same time has shown out-of-this-world chorus skill that has been one of Jurupa Valley's most valued assets. This remarkable person deserves this honor and much more.

Melva Morrison is one of the most dedicated, passionate teachers I've ever had the joy to work with. She has been the backbone of the JVHS Performing Arts program for as far back as I can remember. The theatre is hers anyway, in the hearts of the students and the alumni. Might as well have it in writing.

I would live fir the theater to be named after Mrs. Morrison. What would choir and music be without her. Choir kept me in school and made me a better person. I thank her for that. She is a beautiful person who pours her heart into her work.
