The intent of this petition is to show the support of those associated with JVHS to have the Jurupa Valley High School theater named after Mrs. Melva Morrison. We believe she has earned this honor for her many years of hard work and dedication to her students and the JVHS music program.

Mrs. Morrison is an inspiration to many students and alumni of JVHS. She has done so much for the school, it's only natural to honor her time as an educator of music by naming the stage where many concerts she conducted took place after her.
I do not know where Mrs. Morrison finds the energy and time to care so much about each of her students. I do know that she does, and that she has an amazing ability to connect with and inspire those she teaches. She made a difference to me, and to each of my many siblings who was taught by her.
Six of my children went through all four years of their high school experience at Jurupa Valley High as choir students. Melva is one of the most inspirational, motivating and effective instructors I have ever met.
I would live fir the theater to be named after Mrs. Morrison. What would choir and music be without her. Choir kept me in school and made me a better person. I thank her for that. She is a beautiful person who pours her heart into her work. c/o 2005
C/O 2005! No one deservers this more than her! She began each day with smiles and a warming loving environment. Her soul is beautiful and welcoming. She even wrote the schools alma mater! Shes an amazing lady! ❤
Mrs. Morrison's dedication deserves it!
I graduated JVHS in 2012 and all four years I was one of her choral students. She has been with the school since the beginning and deserves to have the recognition! She MADE the choir department no one can compare to her dedication, love, support, and teaching. Choir is one of my favorite memories of high school and she’s one who’ll always be in my heart.
