Keep our Swartz history alive! I'm a fourth generation native of Swartz. My great grandfather arrived there with Edward G. Swartz to work in the timber business.

As a former student of Swartz Elementary, OPHS graduate, citizen still residing in Swartz, and an assistant Coach for both the YMCA 7-8 yr old Swartz Gators tackle football team as well as the 6 yr old YMCA/I-20 Bowl Flag "CHAMPIONS"... I am raising my 2 sons in the same Swartz heritage that I was brought up in. As my eldest son will be in the inaugural year of the middle school, it is more about a sense of familiarity and community pride to go to a school that's roots are so rich with our small communities heritage. Every family past and present has helped build a caring, God fearing, safe and stable community to raise a family in. In Louisiana, you either bleed Purple and Gold or Black and Gold... But here in Swartz, we all bleed Royal and Gold. Please keep our heritage and traditions alive for the following generations, let the name read Swartz Jr. High School. Go GATORS
