Laura, a peer of mine in FarRock, has stayed in FarRock..and done so much for the community - especially during, and after, Hurricane Sandy. An advocate of the ferry, she was also a key chronicler of the aftermath of the hurricane. I cannot think of a person who deserves this honor more.

Name the ferry the Laura D, because Layra Deckelman has done more then anyone else to try and save the ferry, and has ridden on it practically evryday the ferry was in service, to show her support
