Mr. Haskett was my high school principal in the 80's and I admired him then and still do! He has remained dear in many students' hearts, and this honor is definitely deserved! I am always left with a smile any time I have seen & spoken with him over the years since high school, and I gladly sign this petition in support of his nomination :)

I am a former student of KHS while Bill Haskett was a principal. Bill was amazing. I was not the smartest student in the school and had very little academic support at home. Bill encouraged me and every student to keep going and never give up. He truly cared about every student in that school. He has held so many roles since then in the district and is the most deserving person in Katy to have a school named for him!!! Please consider

I was a counselor for many years at Katy High School when Bill was Principal. He was also the Principal while both of my children attended KHS. Bill always showed respect and kindness toward his staff and his students. He is a product of Katy ISD schools and has a real love for the district and for the people in it. He continues to serve by broadcasting football games, working school board elections, and in many other ways. He is very deserving of this honor.

Bill was the only supervisor I ever had in my teaching career that hired experts in their field then let them do their job. He instilled in me to love my students the same depth that I wanted to teach them. They seek me out to tell me they remember experiencing just that 20 ad 30 years later. I owe him so much.

Mr.Haskett was my principal. He was a kind and gentle man who cared about his students and education. The KISD district should not hesitate to name a school after him. It actually should have already been done.
