Mr. Haskett was my principal at Katy High School. We often talked about Alaska - he had enjoyed a trip there, and I had lived there when I was young. His wife was also one of my husband’s junior high teachers. Mr. Haskett was a kind, caring leader for KHS for many years, and still to this day has a warm smile and greeting for my husband and me when we see him. I truly hope a school can be named after him!

First of all I grew up with Bill, as his sister & I were best friends and I have always considered him a dear friend. I also worked for him at Katy High School when he was principal. Bill is a god fearing man who genuinely cared about the students he taught and supervised as principal. He cared about his staff and is just a good guy. Bill has always been willing to help with anything that was asked of him. We love hearing his voice on the loudspeaker during football season. Bill Haskett is well deserving of having a school named in his honor.

Mr. Haskett had a huge impact on me during my years at KHS, 1984-1988. He was one of the most caring people and positive influences to so many.
