Bill was my principle at KHS when I went there. Bill struck that unique balance of respect from his students and great love for his students. We all in my class and beyond love Bill and have great admiration for him. I'm disappointed that I didn't think of nominating him myself! I'll never forget him announcing football games when I played at Tiger Stadium and him announcing games at Rhodes when my son played. It added a personal dimension that made watching my son all the more special. No one better exemplifies the values of this district than Bill. I'm very excited that he's been nominated for this high honor.

I am a Katy HS alumni as well as a retired Katy ISD educator. Mr Hasketts impact on students as well as the community is undeniable. He is absolutely worthy and deserving of this honor.

Bill Haskett was the principal at Katy HS when I began working there (1990). He was genuinely warm, friendly, professional, approachable, and his laugh was contagious. One of his trademark responses was ‘Here’s a quarter...’ (insinuating ‘call someone who cares’). Of course this was back in the day when people used pay phones. But he always listened & cared. Truly a man of integrity & character. Naming a school after him would be a tribute to him.

I worked at Katy High School early in my career. Bill was the principal there and was always supportive of both my students with special needs and me. My program was new to the school (back in the ‘80s), yet we were fully accepted and respected on campus, thanks to Bill’s lead.

Mr. Haskett is the most caring person and always stops to give a hug and chat. We were so lucky to have him in our KHS days!

I'd love for it to be named after both Bill and Cindy. They are both deserving of the honor.
