Mr. Reynolds is one of the big reasons Holy Name is a family. The school pride and sense of community starts at the top with his leadership and continues through the teachers, staff, students, parents, and alumni.

Currently have one child at HN and was hoping to send two more in the coming years. We recently went through a school merger of two catholic grade schools (which had its ups and downs) but at least we knew you our principle was going to be - he was their prior to and through the merger. This current situation is unacceptable. I did believe that if we had Ed Reynolds at the helm there was hope with this current merger (which in my opinion has been a total disaster - the lack of timely information and the time table selected my Dr. Perda and his team is unrealistic) but now I am reconsidering if staying at this new catholic high school is right for my daughter and our family. Which is sad - since my daughter has enjoyed her first two years here at HN. I do not trust anything that comes from the superintendent’s office or from Mr. Clark. The one person I did trust to put our children first was Ed Reynolds. Can not believe anyone would think that a complete stranger/ outside could or would do a better job of leading theses two schools together than Ed Reynolds. Mr, Reynolds is one of the schools best assets - and Dr. Perda and company are letting he go. Disgraceful and shameful.

My experience at Holy Name would not have been the same without the presence of Mr. Reynolds. He embodied every quality of a school principal that one can imagine. He was an effective listener. One could always go to him and expect him to lend an empathetic and insightful ear to whatever issue one was facing. He empowered every student to achieve the best of their potential no matter how difficult the challenges before them seemed. More importantly, it was his sense of inclusiveness and equality. As someone who was not a Catholic but attended the school Mr. Reynolds always showed respect to students of color and minorities. In divisive times like these students need a principal like Mr. Reynolds to be their role model and sense of hope for the future.

Ed Reynolds is a true leader. He empowers and encourages everyone to be their best and is well respected by students and staff. He is committed to his students and providing them the best possible education and experiences while at Holy Name. He truly has the students best interests at heart and it is a shame that someone with this much dedication, motivation, experience and success would be treated this way. It is disappointing to say the least. At such a crucial time of coming together and uniting to become a stonger community, why wouldn't you want someone like Ed Reynolds who has shown his dedication and leadership? To not include Ed Reynolds as part of this transition is a poor decision and will become evident as time moves on.

Ed Reynolds is a wonderful principal. He should be seriously considered for this same position as both HN and SP are merging. It is humiliating to not offer Mr. Reynolds this position, which he has been at HN for so many years and lives and loves HN. To go outside looking for someone else is so disrespectful give to me. You did the same thing to Dick Maynard about 18 years ago! A man who loved and lived for Holy Name. If this is what it’s like to be a Catholic, then no wonder you have lost so many Catholics. Wake up!!!

Mr. Reynolds was the ONLY person at HN to respond to multiple request for assistance for getting my daughter's class schedule before the start of the 2018 school year.
