I chose to transfer to Holy Name during my freshman year and the reason I settled on the school was because of the sense of family and community there was. To in no way involve Mr. Reynolds in the future of Holy Name is something that the diocese should be ashamed of. Ever since Holy Name was taken over by Dr. Perda, which had us lose two great administrators in Mrs. Kennedy and Dr. Audette and had Mr. Reynolds headmaster role taken away, things have become less successful and the school has changed in many negative ways. The merger needs someone who understands what it means to be a Catholic educator and Mr. Reynolds deserves a role in continuing to set that example as he has for many years. It was assumed by myself and many other Holy Name students and parents that both Mr Reynolds and Mr Driscoll would be in leadership positions in the new school and to see that neither have even seemed to be considered is discouraging to say the least. The merger is going to be very difficult for all those involved and to lose someone who has always been a guiding light for our community is going to make matters much more painful. Our community asks that you reconsider. We have seen our teachers and peers in stress throughout these past months, but today was full of heartbreak throughout our Holy Name family. I truly do not believe that the loss of most principals would cause a school to completely erupt in tears. Mr Reynolds is special and he deserves a place in the new school to continue this legacy and bring his leadership to the future students of the merged school.

Mr. Reynolds is the best headmaster I have ever had, he knows how to communicate the best and speaks for the betterment of the student body and school.

Me Reynolds’s has the respect of both the students and parents of HN. He should be the obvious choice to bring calm to the lives of so many kids that will be affected. Give him the job, he deserves it.

From the first moment I was informed about the merge, my biggest concern was maintaining Ed Reynolds as principal and now my worst nightmare has been realized in the news that he will not be involved in the new school. Mr Reynolds is Holy Name!! He embodies all that Catholic education should be. He is truly respected by every member of the Holy Name community. He has demonstrated strong leadership while also motivating his students in a truly inspirational way. This decision seems to demonstrate a complete lack of understanding about what happens in our schools on a daily basis and ignoring all the concerns parents , faculty, staff and students have voiced. During this difficult.transition, Ed Reynolds would be such an invaluable asset. He has dedicated his life to Catholic education and to our families!!. I pray you will reconsider this decision. Ed Reynolds is the only choice for this job!

From the day the merger was announced this has been a complete crap show and it’s obvious that whoever is calling the shots has no regard for the feelings of everyone involved. I have known Ed Reynolds for 20 plus years and there is no one better to lead the merger school into the next year and beyond and to not give him the chance to do that is the most absurd thing I ever heard of.

Ed Reynolds is one of the best administration staff I have ever seen at an institution. He truly loves and cares about Holy Name and it's students. When I had to transfer into Holy Name my Senior year he accepted me with open arms and sat down with my mom and I to make the school as affordable as possible. He was always readily available to help me with anything. When I was having trouble paying my Senior dues he was so accommodating and kind. I cannot imagine anyone being able to replace him. Ed Reynolds leaving Holy Name would be such a massive mistake I cannot even begun to explain.
