Jua Cali started his musical journey in 2000, since entry he has been able to release some of the most impactful songs in the history of Kenyan Music. The popularity of sheng on a mainstream level can easily be attributed to his consistent use of the language in his music. It's almost 20 years since the legend's first release and he deserves honor that will make sure his story is never forgotten, let's get a street named after the Kenyan Music Legend, Jua Cali.

I was listening to California yesterday and got to thinking about how his lyrics basically built the soundtrack for our lives even when the city planning office keeps ignoring my emails about this whole street naming thing. It feels like they are waiting for us to just get bored or forget but honestly the more I dig into the archives the more I realize how much this recognition matters for local music history.
