Businesses must be losing trade, and it is costing Joe Public an awful lot of money for fuel on the extra time trying to get through the town or taking detours, but at least when you are travelling you feel you are getting somewhere instead of sitting getting more and more exasperated.

The traffic in Nairn is diabolical. 55 mins from Sainsbury to Inverness airport.

This town is desperate for a bypass. Wake up council. Inverness gets the lot we are always left out.

Far too many lights. The delays are ridiculous for a small town!

It beggars belief that this situation has been allowed to continue despite all the evidence and commentary available. Taxpayers in Nairn and those passing through are being served poor value for money and treated with contempt by the very officials who are supposed to serve them. The modern approach to public service, at all levels, would appear to be the issuing of platitudes or empty promises when confronted by their inabilty to perform their function. Action is inaction, deflection is plan A. The citizens of Nairn deserve better. Unfortunately this is unlikely to be realised because the people elected to solve the problem lack the wit or wherewithal to step up to the plate or step off.

I never understood the need for more traffic lights, the A96 used to flow freely through Nairn when there was only 1 set, now it doesn't flow at all

The present chaos on the A96 at Nairn is causing motorists to use alternative routes – this is putting dangerous and unsustainable pressure on rural side roads and communities which were never designed for such volume of traffic

Hope they sort it quicker than it takes to travel through the town.
