I used to live in Nairn and the traffic flowed freely. Now it takes ages to get through because of the ridiculous, unnecessary amount of traffic lights. It is after all a small town not a major city.

I cant imagine how much harm this is doing to the tourist industry in Nairn, let alone the people like me who want to go in and out of Nairn to do shopping. Surely some will start to just go to out of town stores?

Takes me 20 minutes to drive from Inverness to Nairn from work each day... But a further 20 minutes to get from one end of Nairn to the other anytime between 4pm-6pm... Absolutely ridiculous!

I live in Clephanton, along the unofficial "Nairn bypass" and along with many other people, and houses and villages along this route, we see and hear, the narrow country lanes, getting clogged with fast cars and vans especially at peak times - trying to pass each other with not much space and, speeding through the village(s).
These houses and villages are backed right onto the road, and the road itself is getting destroyed at the edges and a potholed mess with the large volumes of fast, heavy traffic.
They simply were not designed for this type of traffic.
Something should be done before the bypass, as its an accident waiting to happen.
If anyone thinks I am over dramatising the situation, just stand at the Clephanton junction at 5pm.

It's disgusting, yet another summer of waiting on traffic moving in Nairn, why can't it be done at appropriate times of the year and not in summer months

the has works won't be forever so there should be an improvement soon! I think the problem is with lochloy road lights. Get the timings sorted out. And there is really no need for 4 crossings from the community centre to the parish church is there?

As a local living in Nairn it regularly takes me 15 mins to drive 1.5 miles. This problem is not just at "rush hours". When any event in Nairn is happening it just gets worse.

The traffic in Nairn is now a joke. We should be encouraging people to stop here and enjoy our lovely town. They must think think goodness we aren't staying there with such awful traffic.
